Junior Development - Sprints / Jumps
Mohamed has been with Etobicoke Track and Field club as an athlete since 2008. Mohamed enters his fourth year as coach of the Sprint development program, in which he focuses on developing high performing youngsters (6-13). Mohamed’s approach has consistently produced many city-final medalists, (including several all-time record holders) and Minor Track Association champions.
Junior Development – Sprints / Distance
Keesha is a former Division 1 USA Track athlete and OFSAA Champion, where she specialized in short, middle and long distance running. She started her track journey as a member of Etobicoke Track & Field Club in 2004 (competing nationally in shorter distances and also winning senior year Cross Country). She is now giving back to the program that she grew up with, as a new coach for both sprints and distance.
Christine Boeck Wallace
Junior Development – Distance / Cross Country
Christine is a former NCAA Division 2 cross country and track and field athlete. She also ran for Michael Power/St. Joseph High school in Etobicoke in the late 1990s. More recently, she turned to Ironman triathlons, and was a part of the 2012 and 2013 Team Canada Age Group Long Distance Triathlon Teams. She is also a personal trainer and group fitness instructor with the City of Toronto, the Toronto Lawn and Tennis Club, and LA Fitness. While in the United States, she and her husband created the Morgantown Youth Running Club, as well as a Youth Swim Club. She is excited to coach in Etobicoke and give back to the community.

Maria comes to us from Greece with degrees and coaching experience in Strength and Fitness.
Junior Development - Distance/Cross-Country
Ryan, a newly turned triathlete, was co-founder of the Morgantown Youth Running Club, in Morgantown, WV, while on a full scholarship at the College of Law at the University of West Virginia. He also served as a City Councilor in Morgantown, WV from 2017 – 2019, and was one of the founding members of the Morgantown Health and Wellness Commission. He and Christine have two children who are also members of the Etobicoke Track Club.
Distance - Head Coach
Julius has been coaching with Etobicoke for over 40 years; starting with distance coaching for everything from 5k to marathons, hooking up with Trevor 20 years ago to move gradually to taking younger and younger athletics to various outstanding performances and titles. His tireless efforts in Athletics and in managing Etobicoke Track also currently have him serving at President of the Minor Track Association of Ontario.

Trevor Da Silva
Sprints – Head Coach
Trevor is the former 400m National level sprinter, who has been coaching with Etobicoke Track for over 20 years. He has had countless High school, Provincial and National medalists. His background in Kinesiology, work experience correcting motion mechanics, and years of observing and stressing form and efficiency have helped countless athletes to be their absolute best.
John has been coaching for forty years, mainly for Master athletes i.e. athletes over 30 years old, and also assisting with various junior movements in Athletics. He has also contributed countless volunteer hours (months/years?) as a senior member of the Master’s group and as vice /president of Etobicoke Track. John is also trained as Sports Coach, certified as a Run/Jump/Throw/Wheel (R/J/T/W) Coach and trained as an R/J/T/W Instructor and Coach Evaluator.

Long / Triple Jumps and Sprints
Erwin joined the Huskies-Striders in 1986 as jumps – sprints coach, A former Canadian National Team coach, he continues to coach numerous high school, Provincial and National Champions and has helped produce many Canadian Team members for the Commonwealth, Pan-Am Francophone, The World, and Olympic Games.
Clifford Linton has been with the Etobicoke Group Of Clubs since 1974 as an athlete and from 1980 as a coach. Clifford is a fully Certified Level 3 Coach in the Sprints, Hurdles, Relays. He has completed 90% of his Level 4 coaching modules. Clifford brings to the club 32+ years of experience and successes in coaching at the national and international levels in the 100m, 200, 400m and 4x100m relay events. Many athletes Clifford coached have represented Canada at international competitions including the World Championships and Olympic Games. Notable National Champions and International medallists are Everton Anderson, Karen Layne, Jonathan Howells, Eric Frempong, Marlon Dechausay, Nicole Devonish, Colleen Prendergast, Foy Williams and more recently Carline Muir. Eric Frempong still holds both the Canadian Junior Championship men’s records in the 100m, 200m and the 4 x 200m indoor relay (Eric Frempong, Marlon Dechausay, Randy Brookes and Kevin Pennycooke) since 1994. Foy Williams has won four National Titles in the 400m and represented Canada in the 400m and 4x400m at two Olympic Games, World Championships, Commonwealth games, Pam Am Games and FISU Games. Nicole Devonish is the 1992 World Junior Silver Medallist in the Long Jump (6.72m Canadian Junior Record) and Carline Muir the 2005 Silver Medallist in the 400m (52.37 at age 17) at the Pam Am Junior Championships and three National Junior titles in the 400m. Clifford has a BSc in Chemistry with Biochemistry from the University of Toronto and he is an avid golfer and has been photographing Weddings, Portraits and Landscapes for over 40 years.
